Delta new 767-400 Aircraft

The start date October 21 2007

The new 767-400 - will have on demand entertainment system in both coach /business class
they will have flat beds - but they have not announced what type of seating will be on the aircraft
Business class seats will probably not be flat by next summer

Will still stop in Dakar

41 business class
200 in coach vs at the moment 35 and 174 in coach.....

I wonder if that means a new aircraft? The last one I was on was pretty old inside.

According to this website Delta will not have the lie flat in the 767 till 2010. I do hope for some reason next June they look like the ones on this site.

I was told more than likely - the 2 aircraft in the above link will be going on Delta new Shanghai route, not to SA.

In the future Delta is going to obtain the model 777 for the flight to SA a non stop.

They are curently flying 767-300

I guess the big improvement will be for coach so they can have individual entertainment systems. A PH friend said the entertainment was real bad in economy.

Either way I seem to like the Business Class seats on Delta. Last year we flew Delta to Amsterdam and then KLM to Africa and I thought the seats and food where better on Delta.

I have been told they are upgrading interiors now during major mainteance since they are out of bankrupcy.
