It seems that there is no rhyme or reason as to which page or pages each country stamps as you enter or leave, with many skipping between pages. I've been told to have a least 6 blank pages in my passport before going to Africa. Do they have to be consecutive, or any six pages? As I understand it, just a minimum of 6 blank pages, not necessarily consecutive.

I went to Zim last year with only one blank visa page in my passport and had no problems. I did send it in when I got back and got new pages added so I'm good to go for a few more years.

I've always heard it was 3 blank pages and when I got down to only 3 I had pages added. I've never noticed anyone check the number of pages in Africa but I did have a Delta agent check to see if I had enough blank pages last year before my departure. "...Africa. Each country has a different requirement for how many pages, some are 2 complete blank pages and some are 4 complete blank pages. "The passports of all travelers to South Africa must contain at least two blank (unstamped) visa pages each time entry is sought; these pages are in addition to the endorsement/amendment pages at the back of the passport. Otherwise, the traveler, even when in possession of a valid South African visa, may be refused entry into South Africa, fined and returned to their point of origin at the traveler's expense." 4 years ago, myself and 3 friends flew from Dulles to Joberg. Got off the plane and cleared customs no hassle. Could not find one of my buddies. He did not have 2 complete blank pages, had about 6 half pages. Customs in SA would not let him in and made him fly back to the states. There is no rhyme or reason to customs, airports, and staff. That helps a lot, thanks. "There are worse memorials to a life well-lived than a pair of elephant tusks." Robert Ruark
