I'm looking at booking Virgin Atlantic Upper Class (Business) Reno to Jo'berg. It would route me Reno - Los Angeles - London - Johanessberg. It's a long trip at 32 hours but thinking it should be quite comfortable. Has anyone used Virgin Atlantic Upper Class or experience with their lounge in London (6 hour layover)? I'm not traveling with any firarms.

My wife and I flew from Pensacola to London about this time last year. Delta in the US, and across the Atlantic via Virgin. The Virgin lounge in the UK was nice and be sure to pack shower shoes for the arrival lounge. I prefer Delta One a bit to the Virgin seat. That said I would take that trip you are proposing in a heartbeat. My wife and I don’t get to travel first very often, so when we do we really enjoy it, and it’s part of the experience. So 30 hours up front will be kind of fun Hunting: Exercising dominion over creation at 2800 fps.

If I was traveling with a rifle I would avoid London. No first hand experience but I have heard it can be troublesome with rifles so you may want to check on that. Mike

He is not travelling with any. But, as a rule, I prefer direct routing rather than going through multiple connections.
