Anyone use British Airways from USA to RSA, with a rifle? Good? Bad?

Their prices and scheduals seem the best for me.

Yes, this past July from DFW to JNB. Check in with firearms took quite a while, maybe 45-50 minutes due to agent not knowing how to handle firearm. Had to change planes Heathrow, thought there might be an issue with firearms but really wasn’t. Flight from DFW to Heathrow was not so good in business class due to the seating layout, window seat passenger had to step over aisle passengers legs (if that passenger was laying flat) to go to restroom, didn’t like that. This was on an A380 that hadn’t been refurbished, they are remodeling them. From Heathrow to JNB was 777 ER, good layout, good service from attendants and no issues with firearms. Return trip was the same.
