I am wondering if anyone has stayed at or has had expereinces at the Kingdom Hotel. I am also wondering if The Ultimate Lodge is still in operation. Thanks in advance for any info.

We stayed at the Vic Falls Inn next door, but thought the Kingdom looked good from the outside........

I honestly think your cheating yourself if you don't stay or at least have afternnoon tea at the Victoria Falls Hotel. It just reeks Old Africa.

My hunting partner, his wife and myself stayed at the Kingdom in Vic Falls after our 2005 hunt. Found it to be very nice. Clean rooms, very good food and the price was very good Also just a short walk from the falls. Just off the lobby they have a walk in vault to check your firearms. Logged in and out with attendent on duty. I'd stay there again if I end up at the falls in the future. You do have to keep the balcony doors secured as the monkeys can enter rooms from the park.

Cathy and I stayed at the Kingdom in 2009. It is a nice motel and is 5 minutes from Victoria Falls Hotel. You could walk there for afternoon tea with no problem. The only problem we experienced when there in 09 was Zim had just converted to US Dollars and no one had currency. It also has a casino if you are interested.

Have to totally agree w/ Pegleg concerning the Kingdom Hotel in Vic Falls. My partner and I were there last month and enjoyed it. We would stay there again next trip!

Victoria Falls Safari Lodge gets my vote! The view from the deck overlooking a water hole is awesome. It is just outside town but there is a shuttle service that runs between the hotel and the town. Great staff and food!

Ultimate lodge is no longer providing accommo although they still do fishing and tours. I think Russell can also get you a discount at Vic Falls hotel.

There is a hotel that has a restaurant/terrace overlooks the river, don't recall the name of it. That's hard to beat.

I stayed at Vic Falls Hotel and enjoyed it.

It was more in line with the "feel" that I wanted.

Russell confirmed to me a while ago that thwy no longer operate as a guest house. I'd contact him though as he has good advice and may be able to arrange you a better rate.
