I thought with international flights they all ways issued you the paper tickets? May want to check with your airline, when traveling international there are instances where you have to show a return ticket.

No you can travel Intl with e tickets. I belive SAA also just went to etickets a year or so ago. 2004 I had paper on SAA etickets on DL KLM , 2006 etickets on DL, KLM and SAA. This year etickets on DL,SAA. I just sent my iteniary to the permitts service for SAPS 520.

My wife and I have been to South Africa twice, 2006 and 2007, and needed to show paper tickets each time while our rifles were being processed at Johannesburg. However, have been to Argentina five times and have had electronic tichets for the last two trips, 2005 and 2007, and had no difficulty either time.

Talk to your travel agent. I think I just used the printed out e-ticket confirmation with my paperwork. But do not take my word for it as I will not be available to help you in the SAPS office!

Thanks guys.

My agent said that the printed confirmation reciept would work, how ever I'm not as confidant. I need to talk with the SAPS to get a real answer I guess.

I looked back at the documentation package I sent to the service that pre-arranged my permit, and what I sent was the copy of the itinerary from my travel agent.

Your mileage may vary.

E-tickets work just as well as normal printed tickets.

We get our tickets by email, and print them ourselves.

We have had no problem at all.

Ivan,

Like, Saeed & 404J; I've used the printed E-Mail E-Ticket confirmation with my SAPS520 application on 6 trips to RSA; no hickups whatsoever.

Cheers,

I have all ways had a paper ticket, last time I went was just last summer. But I am glad to see that the E-ticket will work, it seems to be the way the world is going.

last one I had was 05 on SAA and that was because they did not use e tickets then. I belive Gracy Travel told me this year SAA is on etickets. On Delta I can not remember the last paper ticket. I would imagine Paper tickets cost the Airlines alot of money.
