Hi gang, Just wondering, we arrive in Atlanta from Johannesburg at 6:34 am, and our next flight leaves at 10:00 am. Is this enough time to go through customs and so forth? or should I schedule a later flight? Thanks. Meat Eater.

That should be just fine. Last time through Atlanta, I only had 2 hours and 15 minutes. I made it but barely. Guns and hunting

You should be fine but there are variables. If four 747s arrive ahead of you the customs and passport control could be backed up. If your bags come off last and there are 40 hunters ahead of you the 4457 checkpoint could take time. That said, when in line at customs for the rifle inspection, if a hunter says he has a connecting flight, the gents always him to go to the head of the line. You should be fine. What Cal said happened to me as 3 planes landed together and I was on the third plane. I made it but just barely. If I would have not been in the front of the third plane I would not have made it!!!

I made it going through Washington Dulles one time with an hour and 20 minutes between flights. I don't recommend that though, it was very stressful.
