So I think we all know now that we need to have our ammo in a locked box of some kind to go to South Africa. Does the ammo need to still be in the original boxes and those ariginal ammo boxes need to be in a locked box? or can I use a ammo box that holds 200 rounds idividually and can be locked? will that work?

As long as each round is separated by dividers from the others you will be A-OK. The idea is not to have loose rounds in contact with each other. I've used after market plastic ammo boxes on many safaris without issue.
