This is celebrity chefdom gone crazy. All bells and whistles and bull shit.
I like truffles for instance; but unless you can harvest them yourself (with the help of a trusty dog) you are going to pay and arm and a leg for them in a restaurant. Sometimes worth doing.
And good wine is worth the indulgence too.
