Juicy Metalwork
An outstanding example of Mauser metalwork from Dorleac & Dorleac on my website! Stockwork forthcoming...
Dorleac & DorleacI like it that they don't seem to clutter up their rifles with square bridges.

You are opening a can of worms.
First: I should state that it is a matter of taste.
Second :I have to agree with your statement.
Third: "Cluttering" as often seen on the many clones of the double square bridge Mauser“s is not at all to my taste.
But if it is done as found on the original prewar Mauser“s it looks very good and is functional.
One of the very few remakes of the Squarebridge Mausers that follow the rules of "flatness" are those made by H&W

AtkinsonDammit, I love a double square bridge action! especially if it has a dovetail cut for Talleys with a slide filler to hide the dovetails.

J.D.SteeleI like square bridges
IF they are used for the scope base(s) or if the rifle has only iron sights. Otherwise, what's the point?

Thanks for that link and I have to agree that these are the best looking square bridges I have seen. Subtle, funtional and a verry good style to them.
