piece. Any one out there have a nice custom wood-stocked rifle with a pointed shadow line cheek piece to share here? I'm getting bored with pancake or pad styles and could stand to see some. Thank You. CB

This is on my Pre War .270.

This is one of a pair of matching .270 & .340 Wby rifles Patrick Holehan is building.

You know me Evan. I do like a nice point by the grip. But, to each his own. The overall shape is nicely done. Nice work. Ray

Thanks Ray, I am trying something different with them. I think they will look a lot more complete when checkered.

Hope I'm not committing a gunsmithing sin there... it's just a cheap temporary solution while I'm working on the stock. My plan is to use the factory slotted screws once completed.

Here is a 35 Whelen Rick Mason of Colorado is working on for me...

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
