Few quick questions, im new to building a rifle and such. Of course im not really builing it per say. Im having a smith build it, and I want to make his life as easy as possible.

I already have purchased a CZ24 M98 Action chambered in 300 Win Mag., action has had slight work done with the bolt being turned down for scope use and holes have been drilled for scope mounts. This is where im at now...

Im planning on having McGowen do all my smith work. All the way from barrel to finished stock. Also probably going to have him reblue the action so the barrel and action look nice together.

Now should I go ahead and order a set of dies and get a few rounds reloaded so when the smith gets the action he has them and can get the feed work done? If there anything else I should do before sending him my action? I have been speaking with Jeffesoso about this build and he recommended the route to take on the specifics of the build. But like I said before, im new to this and I want make this a smooth road as much as possible.

As you can see from my profile, im currently in S Korea. My buddy Tim has my action and is going to take care of mailing my action for me. He will also be rolling the ammo for me. We will both end up with this same caliber more than likely. But I will be the first to take it under my wing and get a shooting rifle. This way he can be jealous when I make a certain black bear do 7 kart wheels down the mountain side in WV.

No one has any helpful suggestions before I have my action sent to a smith?

And no comment on weather or not I should get some rounds rolled before sending it?

In all honesty these questions really need to be addressed to your "smith".....

He should be able to tell you what he needs from you to build the gun to your needs and desires.....

If he's not asking lots of questions, you might ought to look elsewhere for your smith!

I havent been able to speak with him much so far, he is busy. And its hard for me to make phone contact since im 17 hours ahead of his time.

Im in no hurry and I want this rifle done right. I plan on keeping it for life, so anything I can do now before sending off my action to help the process is beneficial to me.

Finally was able to stay up late enough to call the smith and have a conversation with him...

All he needs is some dummy rounds and for me to be patient..HAH! yeah right...
