Prices seem fairly reasonable. How difficult and expensive is it to import a blank from Australia to the US? |

| I was at Cecil Fredis Monday and was very impressed with the inventory and prices, very good guy to deal with I picked out a blank and he shipped it home for me. Unfortunately I had limited time but I could have spent a couple hours easy looking at blanks. |

Hi Doublegun, I regularly ship walnut blanks to the US with no problems. For one blank to be shipped to the US it will cost you approx USD$70. This is a fully traceable door to door service which takes approximately 5 - 8 working days. Please contact me via email (ravardy@bigpond.com) if you have any further queries. Cheers, Roger Vardy |

| None of my business but currently the Aus $ is worth about US .94 cents. So, as an example, one of his stocks priced at AUD500 would cost about US$470, not including shipping, of course.

+1 I only have one blank from Roger, but he was an absolute pleasure to deal with and his prices are very reasonable. |

Some nice blanks, but there are no prices, that kind of bothers me.....

| Double, I have a piece of walnut cut in France in 1937. Beautiful honey background with black streaks starting at toe and arching into grip. Quarter sawn. Small pored. If you have an interest I can send photos |

| Cecil Fredi in Las Vegas. Cecil has over 34 thousand gun stock blanks. His warehouse and inventory are mind boggling. His wood is properly dried over many, many years and you won't be disappointed! It's like being in a fine art store! Contact him, tell him what you are looking for and the price range and he will send you photos. |

| Christrees shop is about an hour NW of my place. It is very nice to be able to drive up and spend a couple hours sorting thru stacks of blanks for that perfect one. |

If he sells them for that price more power to him. Seems a touch high to me but then again my wife reminds me that things have changed in the last 40 years. Didn't see anything I wanted.
As usual just my $.02 Paul K
