Bought a 1924 Model 98 Mexican Mauser action about 30 years ago. After setting in my closet for 10 years I sold it to a friend. After setting in his closet for 17 years he sold it back to me. I decided enough was enough and dropped it with a smith. Three years later this is what arrived. I like 98s, I like Mannlicker stocks, and I like the 7x57 cartridge. So what's not to like? Nothing fancy, just a nice working rifle.
