Picked up a couple since my last visit. I think they turned out well.

About 30 years ago I had a 460 built on a Remington Model 30 action. Recently I bagged another M30 is really sorry shape so no guilt in sending to the same smith to make a mate to the 460 in 300 H&H (I just like saying 300 H&H). I like it. Not an exact match but pretty close.




Here it is with big brother.




Here's one that took about 6 years to get back to me. The smith retired halfway through the project and moved to another state. He finally finished it at home and sent it. I love all things Mauser, and I love full stock rifles.

M30's are one of the best platforms for a custom big bore. Little to be done in most cases.

is the big one a 460 on the 404 case? I have it's first cousin, an OM 70 in 458 RUM.
