A couple of my 1917's

First is a 338 RUM I built for myself a couple years ago. Main goal was to build a LR Elk Rifle. Done up on a 1917 with an NOS Fajen rifle stock. Timney trigger, COO, speed Lock, all that good stuff. Pewter poured caps.

Second is a 308 Win I build a few years back as a "cheap" budget rifle. I had the action from a rifle I parted out, so I worked it over on the mill and blued it and took a used 308 barrel and re-threaded/chambered. Also found the stock on eBay for $50 and turned out to be a really nice chunck of wood after a complete refinish job. Prior job was done poorly and looked like someone sanded with 100 grit and took a chip brush after it. I've only got a few pics, but hopefully you get the idea. I built this for about $250, not including my time of course!

Welcome to the boards. Your picture hosting isn't compatible here, at least with the permission settings as they currently are.

Put your pics on photobucket, then click on the IMG; then come to AR and right click; they will magically appear.

Please figure out the photo thing, I really want to see your pewter caps as that is something I have been wanting to try!

Really not a fan of photobucket, but I'll figure it out. Give me a few mins...

There after having every expletive come out of my mouth in the past 10 minutes, I got it fixed!

Welcome to the forum and a nice looking pair of rifles there, your 308 appears to have some nice looking grain in that stock!
