I have a custom Rem 660 in 458 American. It is a working rifle, used for everything from hogs to bear. The rifle has been used for years with a peep sight, no scope. It has been used basically inside 150 yards. I have a Steyr Scout and like the scope set-up on it.
I am wandering who could custom make a scout scope mount for this rifle? There are mounting holes in the forward receiver and at the back of the barrel to which a mount could be attached.
Leupold is now making a 1x4 scout scope and I would like to mount one on this rig. I could put on a standard receiver mount and put on a low power scope, but then I would have to remove the peep sight and I want to leave the peep on and have the scout scope in quick detach rings.
Again any thoughts on who could/would make a custom mount?

you could try any metalsmith from the american gunmakers guild, they would be able to help you ouy

www.xssights.com makes a great scout mount.

YOu will have to have someone custom fit it though.
