I'm thinking about going to the socks myself to maximize the space in mine, as there is a lot of room wasted because I like getting them out easy. I also worry about barrel down hurting the crowns or sights, maybe I need to go ahead and get the gunnys and put some foam in the bottom, sprayed with oil of course to keep from rusting them.
