At the November 22-23 Amoskeag Auction (catalog now online) three custom rifles caught my eye. There is a Duane Wiebe 338 Win Mag on a Mauser action, a Bob Emmons 270 on a Mauser action and a Griffin and Howe 270 on a Pre-war Model 70 action. The auction item numbers are 333, 253 and 24. All three are super nice custom rifles by great gunmakers.

Those a purty. I had not heard of this company before. Do you think this would be a good place for a friend of mine to liquidate his colt lightning carbine?

So many of those fine rifles come from Michael Petrov's collection. What a shame he died so young with so much left to do.

Unlike some of the other auction companies, I have not heard of any serious problems with them from those who have consigned guns or with buyers. The reputations of some companies have suffered in recent years. There is no substitute for complete honesty with sellers and buyers.
