I only heard today that Jim Briar passed away a few months ago. Superb barrelmaker, His bluing solution is my "go to" every time.

Jim was a hell of a nice guy, a good man to talk to, very knowledgeable about guns, always willing to share his wisdom and experience, we are diminished, condolences to his family.

Great stuff.....from a GOOD man....for many years.

I'm sorry to hear, I used a lot of his Gun Goddess bluing solution and a truckload of his bolt handles. Heck of a nice, helpful guy. My condolences to his family but glad to hear his grandson is carrying on! I wish him nothing but the best!

He was one of the good ones!~ He will be missed.

Talked with him off and on over the years, great guy. And yes, Gun Goddess is good stuff, still have enough on hand to do a few more rifles.

I too used his Bluing solution (Gun Goddess) on a hobby basis. Worked very well for me too, and Jim was very giving of his time when I called him up for some pointers.

May he rest in peace.

No question, the guys that know something besides AR's are thinning out I believe Michael will still be furnishing Gun Goddess solution
