had a couple more appear since the last pictures for anyone making one of these, the comb of the stock must be high because the scope is covering the top of the action. This means you must use a high mount so that you have enough clearance to load/unload. especially when using a larger case. there isn't a lot of room there | ||

Good lookers, Butch! I make my Cadet combs just barely low enough to clear the cleaning rod handle. Works out well. I also use high rings so that the scope base itself can be made lower and more eye-appealing. These little rifles don't deserve some great huge honkin' awkwardly sharp-edged behemoth of a scope base, they are dainty & slender and so IMO they deserve an eye-appealingly dainty treatment.
