Having had five cervical vertebrae fused, I'll be unable to shoot my BIG BORE muzzleloaders for quite a while. I've acquired a seldom-to-never fired Rossi stainless steel 454 Casull carbine that I want recreated as a 24-inch barreled 45 Colt ONLY with half-pistol grip. I've acquired the rifle barrel, complete magazine tube assembly, and spacers/support for between barrel and magazine tube. I seek a gunsmith/gun maker competent in working on traditional lever rifles. Regan Nonneman of Missouri has been suggested. But I know nothing of his quality of work on such rifles, his work scheduling (Steve Young is more than one year out), or his pricing. Pricing, though, is close to irrelevant for me. Anyone who has examined Mr. Nonneman's work, please describe it. Anyone who has another gunsmith/gun maker competent in working on traditional lever rifles whom he can recommend, please do. It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. Sam Levinson

They rebarreled a Ruger #1 in 45-70 for me in 2007, and they did a good job.
