Seems of late service and client interest are mostly negative numbers..But....I received a barrel from Lothar Walther...marked "404 Rimless"...but it was 50 caliber!

PHOOEY....Naturally, I called this to their attention. Got a propr barrel in TWO WEEKS..no charge and profuse apologies!

Should be noted the contour was their special type 5130...usually a four week wait from Germany

So, make a .505 Gibbs with the mismarked barrel? I'm not familiar with the bores like those.

Actually it's a .510. so could be made into...say 500 Jeff. Barrel is just too light..unless you want yo sight it in for me!!!

Probably not. Are we talking excessive barrel lift or risk of chamber/barrel failure due to thin chamber walls?
