I am looking for any new W.E. Brownell 90 75 or 60 degree Super fine standard length or short corner finish cutters and any spacers in 20, 22, 24, 26 LPI 2 or 3 line spacers. I do not need any that are worn out I have dozens and dozens and dozens of those.

Have you ever tried to find out who manufactures them for Brownells? Like most distributors I doubt Brownells manufactures anything.

Thanks for the reply. However there are 2 Brownell's . The company in Iowa you're thinking of and the company in CA that makes the cutters and tools.

I have sharpen the carbide 90 with a diamond Eze Lap with the handle removed and a safe edge filed so the diamond steel will get down into the grooves. I find that they are not as hard to use as the original grind which is so sharp.

I have also touched up the cutting edges of the Brownell spacers with the thin diamond nail files from Wally World. I have a can full of used checkering cutters which can be recut. In the 50's we made our own cutters as shown in the McFarland's Gunmithing Simplied.

Don't LOL it can be done. Here is a picture of a carbide cutter being honed.

Didn't W.E. Brownell quit making these cutters a couple of years ago? I have been using the electric carbide cutters for spacing by Doiron for a number of years. I think they are now J & R Manf. or something like that.

If you follow Allen's link and send a self addressed stamped envelope they will send you a product list and order form. I did that a few weeks back. He supposedly is not good at answering/returning phone call's I have heard.
