I recently finished a 264 Win Mag and know we have some 6.5 fans here....as such, I thought I'd post pictures.

It's built on a CZ-24 Mauser 98 action which has been trued and fit with a Timney trigger (~ 1 lb). The barrel is a 4-groove ratchet cut Shilen set to 27". The scope is an old 12x Redfield from the 1960's:

I also engraved my monogram on the magazine floorplate:

nice rifle!

With such a long and heavy barrel I would guess the recoil is on the low side?
What bullet weight are you planning to use?

3/4" (5 shots) all day long with a 140 grain Sierra over 63.5 grains of Retumbo.
