I bought this action under Montana Rifle Co's "Charter program", over 15 years ago and started this project shortly after. I got so busy with my business it just sat in the back of the safe for many years. Since I closed the shop up I've had time to finally get it finished. Don't know that I'll ever hunt with it but at least its ready if the opportunity arises.

Its a long-action opened up for the .416 Rigby. Bottom metal I bought from Ted Blackburn shortly after I bought the action. I extensively modified the bottom metal and machined the magazine from a block of steel to get the length and width I needed--it holds 4 down. I welded on one of Duane Wiebe's bolt handles and reshaped the tang. Sights are NECG with mods and the stock is French Walnut of my own design.

Thanks everyone. I know the Rigby isn’t for everyone but I like a challenge and this rifle works fabulously. It looks like I’m going to Namibia next February; maybe this rifle will go with me.

Not that i can think of. In fifteen years of preparation i pretty much thoughts through everything. Sighted in the scope yesterday so its ready to hunt.
