Forgot I had these pics, which came right after they were turned by Curt Crum and are gonna be a pair of .270 & .300 Win. being built by Patrick Holehan.

There are two types of people in the world: those that get things done and those who make excuses. There are no others.

Ideed.
In the days when I was really into fancy striking appearances, the wood on that H&H-Hagn creation would have delighted me to no end.

Here's my 17 HMR that I stocked last year. Nice, contrasty marblecake like the two above.

My current project. I was playing with the iPhoto and got this. At this stage I had a 180 grit finish, kinda rough, so it should be spectacular when done.

I got this pic from ACGG member, Steven Durren. It's so hard to make a high wall look exactly right... I've tried. This is his match rifle, no less. He's here in Michigan and this gentleman and I are going to do some business.

Another Michigan gunmaker... Winston Elrod when he visited last summer. (One of the rare times when the authorities were not chasing him.)

Winston is holding his latest creation, a M-2 Springfield, with a very nice piece of wood. Kim Stemler photo.

This is my next project. VZ500 LR intermediate length M98 action. Oberndorf classic stock in semi-quarter sawn black walnut I picked up from "seconds" stock several years ago.

E.R Shaw 1 1/2 contour 24" long chambered in 7X57.

The barrel will be turned down to mimic a 98K barrel with the steps turned out like my 8X57 pictured below.
