Titanium parts are the receiver, bolt, safety.
weight as pictured 1lb 7oz.
I have others still in various stages of production and working on bottom metal and working on programs for bottom metal.
I'm also working on a pattern for a stock that I plan on doing in Carbon fiber, should be pretty neat, A nice little lightweight mountain rifle to sneak around with looking for a bruiser of a whitetail, Cheers.

Perfect action for a .308 or .257 Roberts!

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Very nice! It's wonderful to have an option for a classic rifle that's also lightweight.

Timan, very interested to know the process of making a Ti action.
Do you machine it then surface harden it?
How does it compare to steel in regards to machinability?
Cheers.

Receiver:
I start with a 2-1/2 inch diameter piece of 6Al-4v grade 5, 42RC. No further hardening necessary.
To a large extent machining is done with solid carbide tooling.
Tialn coating or uncoated is best. Ticn will work but can be problematic.
I run 100 to 150 SFM with flood coolant and run up to .005 feed per tooth depending on the tool being used and depth of cut.
