I see more posts on checkering and people requesting someone to do the work. Here are some of my things which made checkering easier to get accomplished. I have bought only CARBIDE CUTTERS for the last thirty years and they are easy to keep sharp with a diamond hone from Brownell's. These cutters are expensive, but will last forever. The air hose keeps the dust out of the grooves so you can finish much faster without stopping. When you change to a different cutter handle they will be numbered in an order so you just hit the handle of the air control so the air flows in the order, 1,2,3,4. Number 1 is the power MMC tool and the other tools are in order for faster pickup to continue the work. It takes a little practice to learn the technique. http://www.hunt101.com/data/50...utter_sharpening.jpg This would be a good way for a beginner to start and learn to use my method for checkering.
