Howdy everyone!

OK here is what I did and total cost for the rifle as a "do it yourself" custom.

1. Get a Marlin X7 rifle
2. Get a McGowan custom custom barrel in .275 Rigby (7x57) they will stamp it for you as a .275 Rigby
3. Get a Boyds custom stock for the rifle
4. DNZ medium mounts one piece XL7 Win70
5. Scope of your choosing (this will alter the price) I chose the Weaver 40/44
6. Put it together. If you do this yourself you need a barrel clamp and wrench.
7. Pick your load and test (I am in the process of doing this) test as of tomorrow is Hornady 175gr with euro brass (prvi Partisian) and Alliant powder 48 grains of R-19.

Total cost for a do it your self is...
1. XL7 at the time I got it for 259.00 (first run marlin owned) now X7 is 360.00
2. Boyds custom stock 97.00 laminate or 119.00 walnut.
3. McGowan custom barrel 300.00
4. DNZ medium one piece mount 57.00
5. Gonna use my scope 40/44 Weaver 99.95

Have to say that this is a god price of about
950.00

HOLY CRAP what have I done.
I could have had a custom built rifle for what I have in this dang thing!
For me is was a bit cheaper due to the lower cost I paid for the original rifle and laminate stock. About 800.00 but still close enough to a true custom that if I had to do it all over I'd get the Custom
