If I have a 22-250 rebarreled to 250 Savage, is it correct to assume that there should be minimal issues with feeding?

While one wants to immediately assume that it's just fine, I've learned to beg, borrow, steal, or buy a box of factory ammo and run it through the magazine just to confirm that assumption.

Obviously they won't completely chamber but you'll convince yourself about the feeding!

Well since the 22-250 is the 250 Savage just necked down I can't imagine why there would be a problem unless the rifle already has issues,or the magazine box is too short.

If you are talking about a Mini Mauser watch the OAL with the bullet you want to use.

Yes, check the magazine box length. The 25 caliber original extends the OAL and some 22-250s like the Mini-Mauser can't accomodate the difference.

I have only owned one mini Mauser and it was a 223...I was not aware it came in 22-250, I would not have thought the bolt was large enough to take the 22-250 or 250 Savage case as its the same head size as the 30-06????????????

Help me out here.

I'd like to see a 378 Weatherby on a mini. ;-)
Cartridge would be bigger than the action.

I've got a .473 bolt face Daly Mini-Mauser in the safe waiting patiently for me to barrel it in 30BR for my daughter. I think the 6/7/30BR line is the best way to optimize performance out of that action/bolt face.

I bought one in 223 early on and it never did feed properly, I am amazed it took the 22-250. If it works it would be a super nice 250 Savage..but I have a notion its a blivit action, thats 10 lbs of s---t in a 5 lb. bag. but I am intrigued with the idea of a 250 Savage on that little action.

I've seen the mini Mauser in 22-250 and I had a .223 size that I wanted to have barreled to 250 Savage. About ten gunsmiths turned me down because they couldn't guarantee that they wouldn't ruin the action. I don't think there is enough room for the heavier bullets of the 250 in that action. I finally sold off the action and I ordered a complete gun in 7.62X39.
