How would you grade this rifle? Seller says near 100%. I say 80%. What do you think?

It is all in the observer. Hell, it is "NEAR" 100%, Why hell,in H-S 80% was passing anyway.e But he does need some vision enhancement.

a good refinish would take it to 80%. The pores need filled, and that's about three weeks at a coat a day.

But, he does have a nice swimming pool.

I would grade it as $200 over priced.

With a good patient search I can find a better rifle for $350. Less patience $400.
I would not trust a word the guy says.

Apparently he can afford a pool but he is too cheap and lazy to take decent photos.

I would grade it as "good"- 75-80% price is at least 50% over value.

I thought so too. Way over the money. Similar guns pop up in gun shops around here for $250-$300 on a regular basis.

Just curious, what specifically do you find in the photos that is lacking?

My beef is that there are no shots of the left side of the rifle. However, the photos are in focus and there is encough detail to determine the overall condition of the rifle.

Too cheap? You think he should have hired a professional photographer to take studio shots of his run of the mill rifle? How much would that cost relative to the value of the goods being sold?

Seems to me you are just being a grump...
