Gents: Thinking about a custom in .500 cal. Did a Google search for US barrel makers and came up with: McGowen Lawton Krieger Shilen Walther Can some folks help with some others? | ||

I have had 3 rifles with McGowen barrels on them, and they have all been very fine. | |||

Shilen makes excellent barrels and I have had great success with them. You may also want to consider Douglas. Jim | |||

There must be at least 6 or 7 in Wisconsin Here are a few more Rock, Broughton, Bartlein, Brux. There is also Obermeir but I don't think you can get anything from him because he works on govt. contracts. There is also Hart, but I don't think he makes that caliber and his are all stainless. And out in Montana there is also Half Moon. | |||
