Spoon, Butterball, Mannlicher bolt handle. I am having a small run of these bolt handles CNC made from ASA 1045 steel. It is a rough copy of the BRNO Model 21 bolt handle. They will need to be finished, polished and fitted.

Cost will be approx US$60-70 posted if anyone would like one. I beleive they are no longer available from Brownells. Please PM me if interested. There will not be many and we start cutting in 1-2 weeks time.

May I ask why you're going to use this steel.....?....I've never made bolt handles but would think 1018 would be a better choice as the 1045 would have a tendency to harden in welding.

My Gunsmith who is also a tool maker by trade prefers this steel for fitting to Mauser bolts. I'm having a small run made for my Aussie mates and myself and have a few left over.

I don't know why he wants that steel bewildered. I'm a Paramedic. I do people not welding Smiler.

I've got most of them sold off pre-production here in Oz already.
