Sure looks great from here. Very classic styling, great 1/4 sawn walnut, nice metal, tasty engraving, well finished...what's not to like?

Almost my idea of a perfect rifle.

Four little things I would change

1) The bolt handle and cheek piece are on the wrong sides.

2) I think I prefer a less swamped barred - less abrupt concave at the end of the chamber.

3) I would add open sights because a rifle should have open sights as well as a scope

4) I would have it chambered to 7x64 as I am this side of the Atlantic.

Nothing about it I would change except maybe make it a .30-06 even though I am not a huge fan of that caliber - but somehow, it would seem perfect and classic.

I think its wonderful and I certainly would be very proud to own it.

Point taken and will do so in the not too distant future. Just a question of getting permission from our licencing authorities for another rifle. We have to show clear evidence for “need” for any rifle we wish to possess.
