The left side of this stock may be the most amazing piece of walnut I have ever seen. Gorgeous.

Why just the left side?
It's almost too busy!

Get the 'power' or optic that your eye likes instead of what someone else says.

When we go to the doctor they ask us what lens we like!

Do that with your optics.

7mm Rem. What a waste....

If it were a .270 or .300 Win I'd buy that in a heartbeat. I've always admired Bolliger's rifles and the wood he uses.

There are two types of people in the world: those that get things done and those who make excuses. There are no others.

I can't think of a better caliber.

Giving serious thought to selling a .270 Pete Grisel custom Mauser stocked by Ottmar to fund this.

Both sides of the butt are gorgeous. It's curious that only the left side of the forearm is shown; it obviously must not compare well to the right side...

MJ is dead on with his assessment of the wood. I do not believe I have EVER seen as nice.

If you like marble cake this one isn't too bad. On a humble CZ rimfire sporter.

MJ thanks for showing it. Only a blind man cannot appreciate its beauty.

Yes. Easily as nice or nicer than any of his other offerings on the MR site.

I find knots unacceptable in a stock blank of that quality and obvious price, and that one has a few..just my opine, its a real nice looking gun for sure, but for the kind of money were looking at I would not accept wood flaws, improper lay out, or poor curing..These are the things to look for before the color IMO..

I hear you Ray. To each, his own. I suppose some faith in Bolliger's track record suggest the layout is well worthy of the caliber. Those small birds eye knots do appear to be stable and un-filled which suggests that curing was done slowly and properly.

I don't like the knots around the magazine or wrist either.
