We finished up the Seminar last Friday with much accomplished and all parties well pleased with the Seminar. We had three very experienced students and in the future I will be looking for guys with a greater investment in professional quality work.
Wayne Jacobson of American Hunting Rifle came from Corvallis, MT. Zack Buck of Blak Forge Armoury in Morris, PA drove across the country yo attend. Joe Huddleston a Professional Engineer and JC Instructor came from Bend, OR.

Joe brought a Ruger #3 stock to shape from the blank. Zack had a Mauser .357 H&H inlet and installed in a square block of Hard, dense Turkish walnut. Wayne brought a Mauser 7x57 installed in an English walnut fullstock he had pre-machined leaving the forend square.

I had a great week of learning with Steven, Joe, and Zack. I highly recommend this class for the serious hobbyist who knows his way around hand tools, or the professional who wants to up his game in stockmaking. Steven is a good teacher; he's patient, encouraging, and has a good sense of humor. I'm looking forward to taking his class on metal finishing next summer.
