Fits the bill... well done.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

Amazing what a skilled craftsman can do - the action was made in 1960 but looks brand new. The proportion and shape of the fore-end tip is perfect - can't say that about all guns I see here.

I was thinking the opposite! Finally someone shifted away from a 9.7 X 39 ...or whatever obscure stuff guys, who never shoot their rifles, seem to like.

With that said, without a brake that thing will be a killer on both ends.

Beautiful rifle for sure Jim!

Ain't opinions great?

Beautiful rifle. Nice to see the Pre-64 M70 is still an attractive action to make a custom rifle on.

Like others, I'm not a fan of the chambering, but I'm a fan of the craftsmanship and the craftsman. Just Lovely!

FISH!!

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

I love the .300 RUM; probably the best overall cartridge for big game hunting. That said, I would have chambered this in .30-06.
