2695 Take a close look at the sudden widening of the rails. Not a new idea, but works well with these large cases. Timing is so the bullet has well entered the chamber. Then forward into the widened area and allows the case to snap up under the extractor..makes for straighter (in line) feeding

Awesome transition work again DW. Makes my ameteur 6.5 mods to a Kar98 rail look uh ameteur. But it works.

Hi Duane. Please explain the hump on the follower. Am I correct to presume that it helps guide the last round on the left side into the chamber? One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got into my pajamas I'll never know. - Groucho Marx

Close~.....Holds the follower down bit to minimize friction. And yep... the last round is the one that gets the benefit. Again, not an original idea. I'd bet there's not an original idea out there. but just paying attention has it's rewards Good eye!

Did you make the follower Duane?

I did make that one, have since sold the accessory part of the business. I had Sunny Hills make some later that were totally satisfactory. Of course, a standard 7x57 (milsurp) will pop right out of the action since the rails are opened wide enough for those fat cases

The more that I "follow" some of you masters, the more I realize how little I know! Duane is a National Treasure in my book! ....and a pretty decent guy too. Zeke
