Now in session in Livingston, MT. The first day we forged, filed, hardened and tempered inletting scrapers. We are now at work on custom stocks, 3 Model-70s and a newly manufactured Winchester Low Wall.

Here are a couple of pics...More to come.

SDH,

I wish I had the money. I would love to learn how to forge my own scrappers. Other than that you are never too old to learn. You offer a unique hands on learning experience.

Stockmaking 2016 is all wrapped up now and was an unqualified success. Students, age 34 to 71 inletted project rifles, one began shaping a single shot stock from the blank and another inletted skeleton grip cap.
Interested folks should contact me at the link below - sdh@finegunmaking.com - to get on the list for next years classes. Some of this years students will be returning for Stock Shaping but there should be room for two more students with stock projects.
Classes fill quickly and I begin by contacting the fellows on the list.

Happy class participants with projects, with Stella the gunshop dog.
