Luxus is now making a break open single shot rifle that looks pretty nice. Base price about $3,000 and up.
Anyone have experience with one of these?

Look under Single Shot Rifles, a forum several down from this one. There are lots of posts, photos, etc.

I met the one of the owners and handled a number of their rifles here a few months ago. Very nice rifles and of course astounding wood for what seems (to me) for an incredibly affordable price. The fact the barrels interchange is a major plus.

I tried to talk them into selling me an action or barreling one of their actions with one of my barrels and then them doing the wood... but they declined. Great guys to talk to though.

Haven't handled one yet. But I just heard that the first 23 built were hand made and I know where #23 is.

I dont know about the first 23--I do know that all that come off the line now are all CNC--no cast parts-- I have one of the first gun that came off the line. I really like the gun and Adam and Clay did me a barrel in 6BR. It shoots lights out man!!! You will be happy with the gun! It beats all the crap you buy today. I just wished they would do a bolt rifle too. Left hand please!!!

Thanks for the report. Went to take a look at one Saturday and nobody would wait on me. Trop Gun Shop was packed. It was a .308 anyway. I'd prefer a 7X57. Looked for one at the local Harrisburg show and wasn't anything there in the premium category again. Thanks again. Might go look at available calibers.
