Anyone out there customize one of these? The top of the action has lots of potential for a dandy custom. The bottom end needs a changeover to something more streamlined and the set triggers has to go. Any experience or links to any custom parts for this model or even an opinion is appreciated. Hmmm, I always thought the DST's where the coolest thing on that little rifle. I know a gunsmith that bought a CZ527 a years back with the idea of doing new bottom metal, safety and a few other things with the intention of carrying a inventory. After a close examination he punted on the idea. I've never seen anything more than shortening the magazine on these to clean up the Bottom. I agree though, it would be a neat custom. -------------------------------------------- Well, other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Yep. Cool little gun. I expect the whole bottom would have to be extensively re-configured to retain the repeater function. I have an image in my head of a drop box looking deal like on some DG Mausers only in miniature. A single shot conversion would easier. But, way low on the cool meter for my taste. I have a 1949 model in near new condition. Mine is clip fed and the bottom metal is steel . The only thing that could possibly improve the rifle is a classic stock. IMO! square shooter

I think it would make a great custom and would be a gun you could actually use. Not always true re: a lot of the guns made here. If I'm not mistaken Roger Vardy sells bottom metal for Brunos. Dick Wright

I sent Roger a note. Thanks. RVB Precision does something similar on a CZ527 if anyone is interested. Good price too. They don't convert 22 hornets though. Just .223 etc. Life itself is a gift. Live it up if you can.

It wouldn't be hard to make a drop box looking stock for that clip model, it would be sexy to say the least..add some barrel band iron sights, barrel band swivel, metal curved butt plate and matching grip cap. I would use a Neidner, because they are very light weight and wouldn't hurt the balance, probably recut the double square bridges to a slimmer Talley configuration..Would be a lovely gun for sure. I built one some years back on a Sako L-46 clip rifle in 22 Hornet, it sold so fast I never got to shoot it.. Ah yes. If only my garage was big enough for a manual milling machine. Could be fun to see how close I could get to a straddle floor plate for one of the cool BRNO 22's. Unfortunately the Wife's car needs to be kept indoors and the basement is out of the question. Life itself is a gift. Live it up if you can.
