G'day felles,

I'm stoked to introduce my restocked 416RM Winchester Safari Classic....

It's had, in addition to the stock, a Duane Weibe floorplate, metal grip cap, chequered bolt release, NEGC front sight, barrel shortened 1" and rust blued......

I'm very happy with the outcome

Very well done!

Thanks Adam, Sounds cool mate. Of course if you're ever in Mexico I'm sure you can find the O'Reilly's shop. Could probably find a sambar as well....

Cheers,
Mark.

Please share your preferred loads and let us know how she shoots. I used 92.0 gr of RE15 behind 300 gr X bullets to get a MV of just under 3000 fps. Shoots flat and hits hard.

I originally bought the rifle new in about 2004 and took it on a buffalo hunt with Hunt Australia. I then decided about 4 yrs ago to purchase this blank at a show here in Australia from well known walnut collector/seller Roger Vardy. Finally I sourced a fllorplate after speaking with Duane Weibe from here and sent it all off to a guy called Rob Blomfield at Sunshine Coast Gunsmithing. I picked this guy as he could do the metal work and the stock. He also fitted everything and rust blued.

Cheers,
Mark.

Only had a chance for a few quick shots with open sights today due to crappy weather. The new front sight will be fine and I'll only have to move windage a small amount to the left dancing

Cheers,
Mark.
