Question about Satterlee Arms
I stopped by Stuart Satterlee's shop yesterday. He's got a bunch of actions going through various processes. One thing that really throws a wrench in the progress of a small shop is when clients change their minds AFTER a project has started or even shipped. This bumps everyone that's waiting patiently further out. I've seen some of these cases pop up as a flame fest toward Stuart here on AR. Believe it or not, Stu bit his lip and didn't shed any negative light on his clients. I've known Stu since Dec 1, 1992 and IMHO, Stu isn't out to screw anyone. I'm pretty sure that he will ship everything that has been ordered.

FWIW,
I don't often comment in this forum.
I will opine that from several years of originating/reading/responding to posts in the Political Forum, if Trax said the sun rose in the east and set in the west, I'd keep a compass with me and wait and see for myself.

Just sayin'

I have never bought anything from Stuart, but he did buy something from me. He had me cut an octagon with an integral rib for a customer project. His communication was always prompt, I asked for payment within X days after completion which to my memory it arrived within that time.

I was really hoping that barrel would be built and shown but the barrel still sits as the customer changed his mind and is now having Stuart build some titanium actions.

As Duane said, Stuart is VERY knowledgeable. Maybe he is slow... building actions without a production line and even with a CNC is a daunting task.

As far as delivery by a promised date... well I do not know about that. I know I try to over estimate delivery times, I may have even lost a few customers because of that.
