Hi Jim. Am I correct in assuming that you scratch-built the scope bases? They are a really nice touch.

I get a kick out of folks who think every gun posted on Accurate Arms should somehow fit THEIR own predilections. Beautiful work Jim.

The "widows peak" on the forend tip is also a nice touch and I'm sure was not an easy job. Great job. Absolutely perfect.

Jim,
A 4-year bump.
Could you please advise us re the front sight base utilised here:
Is it custom-made by yourself (my guess), or commercial/off-the-rack?

Many tnx & regards.

I made both bases from a piece of stock 3/4 x 1 x 1 1/2, mild steel bar stock.

It appears that the poster was inquiring about the front sight base, not the front scope base.

It also appears that the front sight base may have been procured from New England Custom Guns.
