He was a great guy to deal with and did some lovely work.

RIP Sir. My condolences to his family and friends.

I know about his bolt handles and scope mounts, but curious if he made custom rifles at one time or another?

Like most of us young guys, I only really know the name by his scope mount and accessories business. However I did recently see a reworked 1922 Springfield that was attributed to him. Very fine work indeed.

Dave was fully accomplished in all fields, but metal work was his area of expertise. He was chosen as the metalsmith on an early commerative ACGG project.

A good business man...perhaps that's why he primarily stayed in the manufacturing field (HAR!)

His drawl and sense of humor were envious.

Duane I remember seeing one of his lovely collaboration rifles. He did great work. May have been the ACGG one. But I’m not sure. Or maybe one featured by the late Tom Turpin.

I never knew him, but I am VERY thankful for his scope rings. It’s all I use, and I have hundreds of rifles. Sorry to hear this news.☹️
