Hi guy's First post here. I have a venezuela mauser 98 that has been "sporterized" by someone else. The barrel is toast looks like it was cleaned from the muzzle w/80 gritt. Its 7mm mauser i think. What can I have it made into caliber wise. I want to get a new barrel stock and bolt handle, and a trigger with a safety and a commerical type shroud. If I shop around how cheaply can I do this. I do wnt to have the action trued and cleaned up, there is no pitting on it at all looks to be in good shape. Any help ideas will be a great help Thank-you Dave

There are so many calibers that fit into that action that the list is very long. What do you want? For cost, find your riflesmith first, talk price with him later. _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

A mouser is a good cat. A Mauser is a good rifle.

Good Lord, sir. If that V-Mauser is in fact a 7MM Mauser ak/a 7x57 a/k/a .275 Rigby, LEAVE THE CALIBRE ALONE! Buy the damn gun, right now. Lots of excellent barrels out there. Douglas works well in 7X57. Did I remember to mention LEAVE THE CALIBRE ALONE?
