I would like to see finished rings being made available.
Except for leaving the bottom surface profile flat/unfinished so they can be precisely individualised to
contour of the buyers trued action. [and maybe even no mounting screw holes]

I'd be comfortable with them made to the nominal M70 receiver, but I suspect that's why he won't offer them commercially. No guarantee that they will fit properly.

Be it Echols proprietary rings, Claw mounts, or H&H type-QD mount,
its best for them to be fitted to the highest standard of precision.
I would not feel good about just bolting any of those straight onto a dimensionally questionable receiver.

Apart from precision matching the bottom half of the rings to the trued receiver,
Echols also machines[bores] the inside of the rings to match I believe,the actual
individually measured dia. of ones scope.

That special attention to detail, would not be present if one was to just buy finished rings from Echols.
..Then again, just buying a Legend blank from D'Arcy also does not equate to having it fitted to Echols Shop standard.
