StokesAnyone hear of 'Ferguson' out of Oregon?
I was looking at a pretty nicely built rifle that the owner says was put together by a fellow named Ferguson out of Oregon. The wood was supposedly done by Al Bieson.
The gun isn't quite what I'd do, but still well done. It's built on a FN action, Blackburn bottom metal, and the rest of the good bits and pieces. It's got a moderately thick forearm for how thin the 6mm Rem barrel is turned, and it's lacking sights.
Of course, he wants way to much, but it might be flexible.

Dick WrightI just had a Ferguson rifle here. I was delivering it to a friend. It was a high wall in .225 Win. His workmanship was real good and his sense of line was fine.
To my knowledge he is a school teacher that makes rifles as a part time hobby.
I had a friend who had Ferguson do some work for him. He said Ferguson was easy to deal with and my friend liked his work.

chlI have a 7x57 G33/40 Mauser with the name Bill Ferguson on the barrel and the bit of information I've found here is the only information I've been able to find on the man, if it is the same person. As every one has stated here about various firearms bearing the Ferguson name, the one I have is a fine looking rifle. I wish I knew how to post photos so you could see what I'm talking about. Any additional information on the gentleman would be appreciated.
