fellas,

The rifle is a Professional Hunters daily carry. The rifle has great balance. It is now a Lott.

Thanks for the help figuring out the gunmaker.

Many Thanks

If it was built by Bill Dowtin the PH has a great rifle! His rifles were a superb mix of form and function.

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

Yes that is a Dowtin rifle...Bill now is in the wood business and I buy most of my wood from him. He quit making rifles and stocked shotguns and ran a shotgun shooting school for awhile then got in business with some Russians and partnered up with them on a mill, and they cut and ship him the wood, he cures it etc..or something like that. I have owned a couple of his rifles over the years.

His contact for wood is oldworldwalnut.com
